A little about me.
I always wanted to learn how to crochet and I figured why not give it a try. My grandmother, aunt and great aunt all crochet and I remember them trying to teach me as a child. Since they lived in Puerto Rico and I lived in the Chicago my "classes" were not consistent. Many years passed, I started working in the medical field and had no time to "practice". About 10 years ago I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia/CFS and made it very difficult to work in my field efficiently and not having to second guess myself. That is when I decided to leave the work I loved so much. Being stuck at home bored, when I was always such an active person, I decided to find a hobby to occupy my time.
Having the time and the desire to learn how to crochet after so many years I went to the book store and bought myself a how-to book and taught myself. Soon, not only was I making items for myself but making items for family and friends. Several people suggested that I should start selling my work. I figured, why not give it a try. Plus it may help bring a little extra income into my home since I had to stop working.
It has been going on 5 years since I started my craft with some success and I still love what I do.
